The Ministry of Encouragement Series has Started
The Ministry of Encouragement preaching/teaching series has started and we invite you to check it out. Our hope here is that everyone who desires to become a minister of encouragement will take some time to watch or listen to the series. You can find the messages on the Preaching in Shorts site (www.preachinginshorts.com) or you can click on this link: Ministry of Encouragement Part 1. Part 1 is an introduction to the series and deals with the question, “why is the Ministry of Encouragement important”?. During the message you are asked to do two things. One of them is to begin to memorize Hebrews 10:19-25:
Hebrews 10:19-25 (New International Version)
19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
The suggestion is to learn these verses by memorizing one verse at a time during the course of the series. For this first week you should memorize Hebrews 10:19:
Hebrews 10:19 (New International Version)
19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
The other thing is to take a quiz to see how prepared you are for the Ministry of Encouragement. We will reproduce the quiz for you here but encourage you to go and watch or listen to the message as well.
